TREATMENT FOR OSTEOARTHRITIS
Signs of wear and tear are a normal, progressive process. Depending on genetics, previous stress, accidents or sporting activities, these can affect specific joints. Wear and tear can cause pain and inflammation, which can be delayed or treated with targeted measures. Infiltrations (autologous blood therapy, Ostenil), for example, are one method of treating acute complaints. Rehabilitation, physiotherapy and osteopathy can improve muscular complaints and reduce strain. Holistic methods can also be used to alleviate pain.
Autologous blood therapy – PRP
Autologous blood therapy is a natural method that is used for inflammation, muscle injuries and osteoarthritis (wear and tear) (e.g. Achilles tendon, elbow, shoulder, joint osteoarthritis).
It is a very good alternative to treatments with cortisone and is well suited for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
Blood is taken from the patient and centrifuged. After removing the red blood cells, the plasma remains. It contains the body’s own substances that act against inflammation and promote healing processes. This is injected directly into the affected area (muscles, joints, tendons). This is usually carried out using ultrasound for targeted infiltration. This initiates the healing process in a natural way.
